Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive lead generation and business development through LinkedIn and freelance platforms. The ideal candidate will provide strategic insights for partnerships, attract clients via Upwork, and develop a deep understanding of various verticals. Additionally, this role may involve building and leading a team of experts.


  • Generate leads and develop business opportunities through LinkedIn.
  • Provide strategic insights and inputs on forming partnerships to expand our business.
  • Utilize expertise on freelance platforms, particularly Upwork, to attract and engage new clients.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all related verticals to ensure effective lead generation and business development.
  • Potentially build and lead a team of experts in these areas to support our growth objectives.
  • Research and identify potential clients and target markets.
  • Utilize extensive experience in digital marketing to devise effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, and Zoom-info to identify and engage potential clients at CXO-level positions.
  • Possess marketing knowledge about Shopify, Woo-Commerce, SEMrush, B2B, B2C, and C2C.
  • Develop, maintain, and nurture a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Understand clients’ business models, goals, and needs to provide customized solutions.
  • Create proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and ensure client retention and growth.
  • Meet or exceed individual quarterly revenue goals aligned with the agency’s annual revenue targets.
  • Implement outbound sales techniques to drive lead generation and conversion.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and performance using CRM tools.
  • Lead and manage a team of Business Development Representatives, setting clear targets and providing guidance to achieve revenue goals.

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in a digital marketing agency.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEM, SMM, SEO, PPC, marketplaces, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Availability to travel for client meetings.
  • Proven experience in lead generation and business development on LinkedIn.
  • Strong understanding of partnership strategies that drive business growth.
  • Expertise in using freelance sites like Upwork to bring in clients.
  • Ability to work across various verticals with a deep understanding of each.
  • Leadership skills to potentially build and manage a team of specialists.
